Class Description
Kids Cabaret :
Our Musical Theater class will have children singing, dancing and acting in musical plays from licensed MTI Broadway productions such as Suessical, Willy Wonka Kids!, Cinderella Jr. and off-Broadway favorites as well. The children may have the opportunity to direct, act and sing in their own productions while building great musical theater skills.
This program is geared towards 4-12 year olds. The youngest actors will have the chance to work in a group setting learning how to maneuver within a group in sequence and song. They will also learn how to take light direction while building an excellent foundation for musical theater. The older group (ages 6+) will become crucial members of musical theater. Each child will shine with a role placed through audition, dedication, then skill. This musical theater class is fun and your child will learn the inner workings of how to put on a show and love it! The end of each semester culminates into a performance for our the Go Pop Kids Revue.
Go Pop Kids Revue is showcased in a theater and features our Go Pop Kid Revue dancers and the musical theater production. All performances carry the musical theater theme for the semester. For instance, Willy Wonka had all dancers doing performances relating to sugar and candy and a bit of Oompa Loompa.
Please note that costume fees are additional and average $45. Our last month of classes, we will increase rehearsals for the older group to combine/solidify the 2 groups and will meet on Thursday at 3:30. We understand prearranged plans with your children and respect that. We are a bit flexible as we realize that NYC kids have a busy schedule. We appreciate what you can do.
Music Private Lessons:
We offer private lessons for guitar, piano, or voice. Private lessons are 30 or 45 minutes. $45 and $55 accordingly. Please contact us about scheduling a lesson. 212 255 1685

Tamid is Lower Manhattan’s newest progressive synagogue started by downtown residents (some of which are West Village parents) and run by three reform rabbis – all graduates of Hebrew Union College. The program welcomes all students looking to deepen their Jewish identity through Jewish holidays, history, culture, stories, and Hebrew language.
